Umbraco 6.0 website in virtual directory not visible in URL
« on: February 20, 2013, 03:54:41 AM »
I am a new user to umbraco.
I have installed Umbraco 6.0 in my virtual directory successfully at "humat.org/humatnews" . My admin panel is working fine but when I access the published url at "humat.org/humatnews" it says "No umbraco document matches the url ". I have tried starter kit, uBlogsy but none of them is working.

Currently I have installed Simple Starter Kit and trying to publish the dummy page called "getting-started" with template only available "textpage" and it says it is published at "http://humat.org/HumatNews/getting-started/" but when I access this url it says "No umbraco document matches the url "
I have tried every solution I know. Can any body suggest me the solution.

Hello,

Which version of Umbraco is installed? Old versions of Umbraco can't be installed in a virtual directory. Umbraco users have reported this issue in their forums,

http://our.umbraco.org/projects/starter-kits/ublogsy/ublogsy-bugs/22403-New-install-=-No-umbraco-document-matches-the-url-%27httpwebsitelocalblog%27

So, I would recommend installing it on a sub domain. If you need any assistance, feel free to contact our support.

Hello,

From the subject, it seems you are using version 6.0. Sorry, I missed that in my first reply. As I suggested in previous reply, please try installing umbraco on a sub domain.
